Help Me Make My Param Perfect (SPS Tank)

I second alk stability. I use to dose two part for my 700 gal an had episode of alk levels dropping below 8 several times. This caused RTN from the base up on most of my corals. Over weeks I tried to fight it but the only thing I could do was frag out the corals and that didn't work with all of them. I bought a commercial grade Geo Calc reactor to stabilize. I can not stress enough having stable Alk.

Agreed, I am currently trying to figure out how much alk I need to does a day. I havent had a drop yet because I only have about 9 frags in a 280gal system but I am watching it close.

Two-part is a pain and will cost you a fortune as your demand goes up. Get a calcium reactor with a controller. I use to pull my hair out with two-part. Calcuim reactor with a controller is so easy wish I would of done it years ago.

I will do this in a year or so, My tank will be fine dosing 2part for a year. I know its not a good long term solution.

IMO, a two part is a fine long term solution and don't see any strong reason to suggest it isn't. It is not very expensive if you make a DIY. :)

Yes I have read your DIY info and plan on doing that for sure. I bought BRS set first just to make sure I understood it fully and then I will be diving into your suggestions
