I bought a Rasta frag and put it in my tank 4 days ago (28 gallon JBJ LED Intermediate). It was purchased along with 7 other zoa frags which all opened immediately. Although the Rasta didn't open, I did see the tendrils start peaking out over the past two days and thought the placement was probably fine. Today it occurred to me that my Midas Blenny had chosen a hole very close to the frag and was likely bumping it each time he bolted into his house, so I moved it over about 2 or 3 inches in the hopes it would open without the constant irritation.

Even though the zoa is at the same level, I had to place the plug far more horizontally than before. I just looked at it, and it is bent at a nearly 90 degree angle. Should I move it up to give it a better angle/light or just leave it be and hope it adjusts? I know it isn't good to keep moving them around, but it has been in this position for only a couple of hours.

Sorry about the quality of the photo. I had to take a picture from an angle where the glass is somewhat curved and zoom in a lot to show the bend.

Be patient, its only been a few days. Unless it really starts to stretch, in which case it would likely be open, there's no need to move it up higher, it's just naturally pulling towards the light source. Too much light will kill a coral faster than too little light.
