Help me match my par from t-5 to led

So tomorrow I am going to test the par ratting on my t-5. Then put my LED unit on and try to match the par. Is that going to work. If not please explain.

Even if the PAR is matched the spectrum will be different. I would still go under the original PAR of your T5's to give the coral a chance to adjust to the new spectrum.

Depends. How many watts of T5 do you have now. And how many watts of LED will you be going to? Also, what brand will they be?

I would match the PAR then back it off 10-25%.

LEDs in the 420-460nm range offer more grow but read at a slightly lower PAR Level. Greens on the other hand offer little grow but up the PAR more than they should.

Never go by watts as a 150 watt LED Fixture can have twice the PAR and more coverage than a 170 watt LED Fixture.
