I have an aquamaxx em200 skimmer, and the base of the bubble plate keeps getting blown off the pump. Any ideas on how I can get this to stay on?

I contacted aquamaxx and of course they have never heard of this issue before.

maybe a thin rubber gasket to add friction between the two?

I think it's broken. The gray coupling should be glued to the black plate. I have the same skimmer just a bigger model and that is how mine is. The only part that disassembles is the clear diffuser from the black plate+sleeve from that plastic nut and bolt.
PVC cement should hold it fine, you'll only need a little

Add some Teflon tape till it hard to get place and give it a go .

The grey sleeve didn't come off. I did cement it. Working like a charm.

Now I am playing around with getting the skimmer tuned again. Previously was in 9" water, now it's in 10, maybe 10.25 with the water level going over the baffle. Raised it up .5" Any further and I will make a stand for it
