So, I posted on tank emergency forum about losing all my fish. It was my own careless mistake. They did not have disease. With that said, my 75 gallon is empty. My CUC (snails and hermits) are all still alive.

I figured since I will be placing all my new fish in QT before adding to DT, why not treat the DT with a copper treatment for good measure.

Thoughts? This is a FISH ONLY tank. I know I don't have to - but I kind of want to for good measure and for peace of mind.

How would I go about doing it?

Thanks!

I wouldn’t, just wait at least 76 days before adding any new fish. Without a fish host, any parasites will die-off during that time frame.

That way, if you ever do decide you want to add some coral or a copper-sensitive species you won’t have to worry about leaching or contamination.

Dosing copper in the display is going to require an immense amount of medication. All of the live rock and substrate is going to suck up a lot of what you put in (nevermind the overall volume). It's also going to preclude you from ever putting inverts in the tank, as copper will be leaching out of the rock for an unknowable time after...
