I have a IM Nuvo 30L. It is a bare bottom softie/anemone tank.

I am thinking about stocking options. I plan on doing a pair of clowns, a royal gramma, a wrasse of some sort and a blenny.

I can not decide on what blenny to go with though.

Top contenders are Tail Spot Blenny, Starry Blenny and Midas Blenny. I have kept Tail Spot and Starry before.

Any insight on what would be a good fit for the tank? Algae control is a factor to consider as well. Any other cool Blenny recommendations?

Ditto, have a tailspot, love this little guy.

I will be adding two barnacle blennies. Also ordered a small cluster of barnacles from Amazon. Should make a good home.

Thanks guys. I'll stick with a smaller blenny.

Any preference between Tailspot and Bicolor?

Tailspot for a nano tank. Mine was always out, while the bicolour picked a hole and stayed in it almost all the time.

Cool. I'll go with a tailspot then. I just need to pick a wrasse now. I'm thinking a fairy or flasher wrasse but done know which one.

I have 4 barnacle blennies, one tail spot, and one bicolor in my 125 gallon. They are all awesome. Of those three the tailspot was aggressive until I got some bigger fish. I did not get the other two blennies you mentioned because of their adult size. All of the blennies pick at algae but I do not think any have a real impact. They are all super fun. I would get the tailspot from your list, and consider the barnacle if you want something really fast that never stops watching the tank.

I would do tailspot. Every Midas blenny I have had in a nano turned aggressive once it got bigger. They like their space. They also don't pick at algae.

My favorite is the pictus blenny but they are a bit harder to find.

Smaller is better anyways. I'm trying to keep my bioload on the lighter side.

All blennys jump I hope you know that. Without mesh cover over you system you migh be looking at a suicide waiting to happen..

Midas blennys have nice personality. Especially if you get an African midas blennys they are good looking

I have a black one and feed him 12 ghost shrimps a week. I highly recommend one for your reef tank. I believe we have a similar tank.
