I have a 125 gal tank that pretty much only has frags in it, so my alk, and calcium demand are relatively low. I was trying to just keep my levels sufficient with my AWC but that isn't going to be enough. I've started dosing 2 part by hand but that can't be a long term solution for me, I try to automate as much stuff as I can because I'm lazy and I'll eventually start skipping days. I've decided I want to get dosing pumps for 2 part. I'm trying to stay under or around $200 and I need at least 2 heads but more is always a plus. I started looking at the jebao pumps but I've read some reviews of them failing to shut off (I'm not opposed to jebao as a brand). I considered a couple of the Kamoer x1 but I've heard some bad reviews on connection issues to the app, so I'm starting to lean towards the brs 1.1ml dosing pumps along with two kasa smart plugs. Is there any other dosing pumps in this price range that I should consider?

I got a pair of the BRS 1.1 and some Kasa power strips. I have it programmed to dose alk a bit at a time over a few dosings throughout the dark hours. My calcium has been pretty steady, so I'm still doing that by hand until the new build is done. I must admit, my zoas have never looked better.

I already have a kasa power strip on the tank, and then some of the plugs at my mixing station, but I'm still a little worried about relying on some $10 smart plugs that if they failed on could dump a gallon of 2 part into the tank.

Following along as I plan my build. I have read some good things about the jebao equipment but in passing. Will read more and take notes as Instart zeroing in on my final list.

I think you have to get a mod to correct the title for you.

Economy- Jebao Dp-3 or Dp-4
I want quality- GHL
GOOD- bubble magnus BT-01

I'm not opposed to jebao brand products, I actually use two of their gyre pumps for flow. When looking at reviews I found one or two reviews that stated their jebao pumps didn't turn off when supposed to an emptied their containers into their tanks, and that kinda scared my away from them. I've also heard a lot of issues with wifi control on the doser 2.4 and 3.4.

I'm looking for something around that good area although going to $300 for two of the versa pumps is tempting if they were ever in stock. I hadn't really looked at the bubble magus. I will add those to the list of possibilities.
I probably wouldn't spend as much as the GHL cost but do you have to have their controller to use the master dosing pumps or are they stand alone?

I chose this route because it was simple. I use kasa to control lots of things...lighting, RO, dosing. Anything can fail. I just keep an eye on it.

I also rely on the kasa smart strips/plugs for a lot of my aquarium and so far they have been reliable but I currently only have one that if it didn't shut off (AWC pump) could destroy my tank. It makes me a little nervous honestly. I've considered plugging two of them together so they'd both have to fail but I'm not sure how well that would work.
The kasa smart plugs are probably just as reliable as the cheap electronics that would be in a kamoer or other relatively cheap pump.

I am new to reefing but one of the things that sold me on GHL is the way it is built in a modular fashion.
I don't know much about GHL because generally I'm cheap and buy cheaper equipment. But for something that is more critical to not fail I'm willing to go a little higher (although I'm not sure quite to GHL costs, but they are still cheaper per head than some I'm considering). I am curious what is modular about them? Is it just changing the pump head or can you easily replace the pump motors as well?

It’s going to be at the top or above your budget. I chose GHL because it is said to be very reliable, that was my main need because I may have to travel for my job and asking a friend to mess with it while I am gone is too much of an ask.

Here is the parts list. I haven’t opened mine up to see if all of them are on this page but as I read it. It would be similar to replacing gaming computer parts. Pull one out put new one in.

If I needed 4 heads I would definitely go with the GHL because the price per head really isn't that much higher than any other pump. The thing is I'm not sure what I would use all 4 heads for. I think I'm going to rule it out as over what I want to spend. Thanks for the info though.
