Hi friends! I’m new here. I LOVE coral... I thought I started for the fish.... but am now fascinated by coral. Anyway, I have a Green Star poll. and a Zoa on opposite sides of my tank. I want to incorporate more colors... any suggestions? Also please free to add tips that you wish you knew as a beginner with Coral!

What is your current lighting setup and your flow in your tank? That will help drive some of the discussion of what might be best for you

Frog spawns andHammers very easy to care for Rock flower anemones very easy chalice corals very colorful don't demand High lighting

1 left out previously that a lot of beginner Coral Keepers love is a pulsing Xenia lots of people begin to think they're more like weeds when they become more experienced refers 1 of the easiest to care for corals and has its own natural pulsing movement which is very cool one way to try to control the spread of this is the place that on an island in the middle of the tank a Rock Island

Great thing to know! I may stay away!

Clove polyps are crazy simple (care is similar to your GSP) and they’re beautiful! Lots of different colors to choose from and they’re not incredibly expensive.
As mentioned, Duncan are really simple to care for and clownfish (if you have those) love them!
Check out Acan Lords and favia! Tons and tons of color options with those for a relatively low price as long as you don’t get crazy designer ones or anything. Dragon soul favia and spicy lemon favia are favorites of mine
Mushrooms!! They don’t need a whole lot of light and there are a lot that have very simple care. Rhodactis and discosoma (mushrooms with polka dots or just solid colored) are the easiest imo. Ricordea and yumas are also very very nice and pretty, not too much care required with them either!
A green toadstool would look excellent! Very easy to care for centerpiece softie :)

if your tank is at least 6 months old!!! BTAs! Bubble tip anemones are gorgeous, and easy to care for as long as your tank is mature enough and your parameters are stable. Rock flower anemones might be more your style though because they don’t really sting

I definitely need a toadstool!!! You got me excited! I have a condy anemone... I didn’t know anything about them and just brought it home. Thoughts?

+1 on the rock flower anemones. They really come in some fantastic colors and tough!
Ricordea mushrooms can also be forgiving and pretty colorful!
Scolymia corals are supposedly easy to care for. Super bright, but they are spendy!
There are some varieties of clove polyps that are not as prolific as GSP and Xenia and very nice as well. Fireworks clove polyps come to mind.
Hammers and frogspawn are slightly more difficult to care for, but still on the easier side of things.
It does seem that many people have a lot more luck with aquacultured(aquarium raised) pieces over mariculture or wild ones.
