Hello,

I'm having a hard time picking out the right protein skimmer. My DT will be a 180 gal 72"x24"x24" my sump is a 75 gal and the area for the skimmer is 16"w x 17"d the total height is 30" from the sump to the bottom of my DT so I will have to allow room for maint and to remove if needed. It will be set up as a reef tank. As far as budget I'd like to stay between $400-$700 but I would rather spend more and not have to upgrade because I went cheap on it. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Derek

Aquamaxx em300, its $379, but if you buy it from petstore.com and youse the luvmypets coupon code, you can get it for an additional 15% off. Aquamaxx is a great skimmer, and many people prefer this line over the Reef OCtopus line.

Footprint: 9.1" x 13â€
Height: 22.8â€

AquaMaxx EM300 or 400 There great skimmers, silent and have a lot of contact time in the chamber.

Thanks for the replies, looks like I have some good products to compare side by side.
