I have a 150gallon tank just got it up and running, and I'd love some ideas on fish I could get.
This will soon be a reef tank so I need everyone to be reef safe.
I'm 100% getting a Fox face.
I really want to get 2 or 3 Tangs
My old tank was a 120 gallon and I had a naso in the tank untill she got around 9 inches.(sold her) So Tang police sorry for my past choices, but I'm looking for some Tangs that could live out there life in my tank.
Other then that I'm open too hear you all out on other fish selection.
Thanks have a good day!

For that size tank, I could see any bristletooth tangs, such as kole or tomini, living very happily. As for the foxface, there are two amazing related species, Siganus coralinus and Siganus punctatus, which in my opinion are a bit prettier that rabbitfish.
For other fish, zebra darts are always cool, or you colud go with an "aggressive reef", basically a reef with predators in it.
My recommendations for pretty, reef-safe fish is as follows:
-Anthias of some sort (my favorites are Psuedanthias ignitus and Nemanthias carberryi)
-Bristetooth tangs, any but the Kole, which can be a bully.
-A group of skunk clowns (any type), they tend to be more peaceful than occelaris.
-Dartfish, such as zebra or blue gudgeon.
-If you have a sandbed, any Halichoeres wrasses, and jawfish are always awesome!
-A shrimp and goby pair, my favorite is the pinkbar goby.
-And really any other fish that you like, as long as they are well researched!

Good luck my friend, God bless you!

Thank you vary much for your suggestion! You kind of got me on the predator Tank! I probably won't do it but what would be some cool ideas for a predator reef?

Of course!
Any small eels, like snowflake or golden dwarf, would be awesome, just avoid larger Gymnothorax species.
Groupers such as coral hinds would be a very colorful and awesome addition, though you would have to choose one or none, just because of the size limitations of your tank.
I think the best mix would be a trigger such as a pinktail or bluethroat, both a bit smaller and more peaceful, you could have a small grouper like a coral hind, and eels like the white ribbon, golden dwarf, or any Echidna sp, would be awesome.
In the "agressive reef" tanks, I woud have some sort of dither fish, like chromis or anthias, and of course your tangs and rabbitfish.
I do think that would be awesome to do a predator reef, if I were you, I would look for predator tank threads on Reef2Reef for more ideas, and thoughts on keeping them.

Good luck my friend, stay safe and God bless!

Sump size//? This will help in figuring total water volume and thus guide on stocking level of adult size fish thx

cant go wrong with a cool eel, My favorites are the zebra dragon moray and the dragon moray or a ribbon eel, And another uncommon fish to see is saltwater tanks in general are the different species of anglerfish, my favorite being the wartskin angler fish.
