Help me plan my corals

I love planning out the coral scape. The types of corals I’m interested in are:

• Zoas
• Favia
• Shrooms (mostly ricordia)
• Acans
• Candy cane
• Monti (digi and cap)
• Birds nest
• Duncan

So I’m thinking

• acans and favia on the sand
• Zoa garden on the yellow
• Shrooms on the green
• Duncans and maybe candy cane on blue
• And finally there is a lot of real estate on (and just behind) red and I can put some digis, birds nest, and maybe have a cap off the side or front of that ledge

What do you guys think? Any other arrangements that would look good or some of your favorites that aren’t in my list?

I'm not super familiar with most of these just yet, but I am aware that Zoa corals can grow pretty rapidly, so you might want to put them in the sand or have some type of Island for them to grow on, so they don't bother your other types once they start growing. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful with the other types. Good luck.

Too late, already have 2 favias down there on the sand getting acclimated. Also, I’m going for a nice packed mixed reef look.

that is my goal eventually as well. I'm still waiting for some Coraline algae to establish itself, but I do have a GSP, and I'm waiting on the arrival of an assorted color Zoa, and I'm looking to get some Pulsing Xenia, but haven't been able to find anyone who has it available yet.

Just had another thought. What if, instead of SPS up top, I could do a few types of branching euphyllia. Maybe a torch or two and hammer or two? Can they adapt to higher light (probably in the 200 par region)?

keep favias on the sandbed, and zoas and shrooms on the rockwork. everything else will outgrow the tank and will need trimming. i'm sure you'll be okay with this, but in general i personally believe the tank would look better this way. perhaps maybe a slow growing SPS that branches out.
