Help me plan my new sump build

I have been dealing with a sump sometime else built for a couple years and I'm not happy with it so I'll be building a new once and swapping them. When it goes in, I'll be replacing all the filtration as well so it's fresh, clean, and more serviceable.

Display is a 75 with the back drilled and an overflow box.
Sump will be a 20 long, current one is a 29 but its too tall to be serviceable in the stand it's on.

Plan is to have a holder for a filter sock to drain into with the skimmer in that chamber, leading through a bubble trap, into a small chamber for 2 reactors(gfo and carbon) , then a refugium, and lastly a chamber for the return pump. Will I have room for all this?

Lastly, I need help choosing a return pump. Any advice here?

Am I on the right track? Any advice or suggestions?

Have you considered a prebuilt sump kit? I used one custom made for a 40L from EMS.

You also might consider bumping up to a 40 breeder, which would give you more room for everything you want to cramp in there. Space tends to get tight.

Problem with a 40 breeder is fitting it through the opening in the stand. I'd prefer that for sure but the space is limited and I need to save room under there for dosing containers and stuff.

While others may disagree, I’m a fan of having three Jabaos for half the price of a single “quality” pump. I’d rather have a spare than a guarantee.
