Dip infected plugs for 10 minutes in a 10% solution of hydrogen peroxide with tank water, then move plugs to frag tank.![]()
Cynobacteria infected. Dipped for ten minutes then moved to growout tank.
Should I do this before using fluconazole or after
Keep the chemicals out of the tank.
When you dip plugs in hydrogen peroxide, everything organic is oxidized. No further treatment is required for plugs. If you keep coral too long in dip, your coral will be oxidized (dissolved).
PSS. With respect to treating tank with fluconazole, I dislike chemicals in a reef tank. For algae spores in the water, I recommend UV sterilizer.
