Bought a green bubble tip anemone and for some reason it wasn't held at my FedEx location during a wknd temp being at 10 degrees. Got them and the bta looked basically dead but had tentacles still barely moving and got him in and pretty much nursed him back to life. After couple of hours he took hold and started inflating and looked awesome and was huge and bubbly lol...woke up next morning and in the back of my mind I was thinking of the sponge filter I didn't put on my wave maker (you dummy)! Trust me I know!....well sure enough he was stuck and I was able to get him out BUT he barely got knicked up and escaped a close one. I didn't think he was going to make it but he did and looked good again for a day but he turned a corner and he is always looking like this in the pictures. Sometimes a few tentacles puff up to give me hope but then he turns into this.
What in the heck is going on, I mean his foot is still attached and he moves a bit from place to place but my goodness this doesn't look good. Anyone know what is going on?

I got a friend with a one that looked like your anemone . we thought it was done for it. we even tried to remove before it ruin his tank but it got into a hole and we couldn't remove it, anyways, after a while, i mean a good while itnever died and it came back to life and now is doing good, I know this not really help your case but there still hope i guess

hang in there,if starts falling apart,or getting worse remove with a fine net not to get pieces all over, good luck mr nem

Welcome to R2R Mike!

Just going by the pictures, it looks like your tank is fairly new and the lighting not so intense. Both of these factors could be complicating the recovery of your BTA.

Just to help us help you, can you share your tank age, size, lighting and parameters that you have tested recently?

Age. 6 months
Size. 75 gallons
Lighting. 48in coral life seascape light in back
. 2 of the 30 inch coral life lights in. front that were given to me.

Parameters. Nitrite I'm looking around 0.5. ppm. Nitrate looks like 0.
Ammonia. 0
Salinity. Looks like 1.025 also I do a 50% water change every beginning month and 10% every week in between so for what I've been told I really don't have to worry about my calcium levels or alkalinity levels then.

Today this is a picture of my bta and as you see it's moved in one day and is inflating but then it will turn back to the previous pictures in earlier post
