Help me Rehab this tank

look how slowly that took place

talk about not playing around in tank rehab…few will seize the results even when shown. They do not by and large want a laser clean reef with corals so full it looks too good to be true. Imagine how easy a 32 gallon would be comparatively

Another recent rip clean

track the longevity outcomes with us, these tanks shine. The ultimate lifespan cheat, in fact. Above all other possible moves, this one produces long life reefs

Look how skeptical they got for a sec

name any action set in reefing that breaks more rules than a rip clean, but always links as the best possible outcome in any thread posted :)

So you think I should yank everything out and do a restart with fresh sand? That's a pretty compelling post.

I guess everyone’s experiences are different. I have 2 sand beds, one in a cryptic filter and one in my fuge. Total about 80-100lbs. Both about 8 years old, never been vacuumed or disturbed and my nitrate is .2 and phosphate immeasurable.

I'm going to yank everything out and convert it into a mantis shrimp tank. I'll rehome the fish.

Update : changed out the filter to a refugium in back with growlight and chaeto from my DT. Killing off the cyano now with chemiclean. Will do a massive water change again after. Very excited to get this puppy stable!

The first upgrade I made on my tank was a Sicce Syncra 2.0 return pump with two random flow generators and it made a tremendous difference. I no longer had any dead spots in the tank.
