Help me! trying to read mag level!

It's easy math man. Look at the chart. Every .2 of titrant used raised the mag level by 40 ppm. If you really used 9.5ml of titrant than it is pretty simple to do the math to figure out where your mag is.

Agreed, I had trouble testing Mag with Red Sea at first as well. I kept getting low levels and realized I wasn't reaching the full dark purple color that the RedSea test calls for. I would re test because with those results, your Mag is high. I believe there are youtube videos that you can watch to make sure you are testing Mag correctly. Good luck and keep us posted.

Lol, I guess its up to interpretation. It looks like dark purple to me haha. But as long as it matches to the card.

I think you must mean .95ml. I've found that when I get close to the blue end color if I swirl the bottle a few extra times it will turn lighter. Then I add one drop at a time while swirling till I get a color that doesnt change. If you really did use .95 then roadrashpaul is correct. your level is 1900 ppm.

Ok wait so is the final color supposed to be blue or purple? heres exactly what it look like when i got a BLUE color.

It's hard to tell from your pic but if I am looking at it right you used .85ml of titrant not .95. That is if it was filled all the way to the 1ml mark. Your mag would then be 1700ppm which is still high.

Agreed it def depends to what point you filled it too. I only fill mine to .9 and then calculate how much liquid was used by subtracting what is left over.
