im looking at the jebao wavemaker and notice they have different versions. They have the pp, tw, and rw plus possibly more in not aware of. Which is the latest version and who can give a quick review as to whether you like it or not. Or should I be looking for something else? Thx for the help.

I have the RW 15's and I have a RW 8 in the sump now for going on three years.

They do require cleaning once a month, possibly two. With higher alkalinity systems, they will have calcium build up on the impeller shafts at their bearings sleeves. This will cause them to slow down in time and/or stop working at lower speeds. Thus the monthly cleaning.

Other than that, the only thing bad for me was that the controllers wouldn't stay in sync, as I like a alternating wave pattern. I replaced the controllers with a JB wave controller and have been really happy ever since.

They push a ton of water and are worth the money, compared especially to vortecs. Very happy with them.

There is a better option. Look into the icecap gyre. This thing is amazing. And similar price range. If u want check out my video on it.

How is the noise of it and at what level you have it?

I was almost decided to get it but have read a lot of threads saying that they are noisy.

Thanks in advance...

The first 3 day it's loud. Then it's starts getting quieter. After about a month you can only hear it when you run it at 100%. This I only do at night. The flow is great though.
