We're looking at building and I'm trying to figure out a good way to incorporate a 6'-8' tank and fish room in the basement. Ideally I'd like at least a 10x12 room to house a 8x30"-36"x27"-30" in-wall tank, sump, 6'-8' frag tank and 2x105g mater mixing station.
I'm looking at doing the tank in the SE corner and I'd also like to incorporate a bar and seating area by the tank.
I'm struggling with ideas and only have the following so far.
Peninsula style tank and extend the room in red a little to provide enough room for sump, frag tank and mixing station. I'd prefer to keep the entire tank enclosed but I'm also intrigued by room divider tanks.
Other idea is to make a 10x12 ish fish room with the tank in the wall directly behind the back part of the bar. Should be plenty of room, not sure if it's too much though (Not that you can ever have too much fish roo, but I don't want to lose too much of the actual basement room. The little hallway may be a little weird and I could also just run the wall straight across for even more space.
Any other suggestions/ideas???
