I have this super old Hydra 52’s non HD. They have been giving me a lot of problems with the remote and the connections from the lights.

I’m trying the update it but it’s stuck on update mode, anyway I’m done with these lights.
I need something new. What do you recommend me to get that won’t cost me so much. I need LED’s.

I have 4 of the 52’s. You can see how some of the lights are working and some aren’t. It’s time for something new

Ai prime or Radion XR15

you could do 4 to 6 hydra 26hd's if you want to stick with AI.

How many Ai primes do I need? I was honestly expecting you guys to recommend hydra 52’s. Is that too much light for my tank?

Here’s the tank

You could also look into the Orphek strips too.

the new HD range puts out quite a lot of power.
for the type of corals you keep, the 26hd's are plenty. and you can spread them out for a more even coverage.
again, that is if you want to stick with AI.

i think you wanted something that cost less than the 52's

you could go for a few Kessils, but they aren't easy on the wallet either. and will require additional equipment to control them.
