Ok, so... the tank has been up and running for a few months. I basically did the aquascaping using dry Pukani and then just let it "cure" in warm circulating saltwater. Not that dry rock needs curing in the live rock sense of the word. Started to cycle the tank with a fishless cycle a couple of weeks ago. After nitrites measured 0, we added a small CUC to beat back the small diatom bloom which they have made short work of.
So, what we have is a blank pallet ready for color. My plans are for heavy SPS to slowly build the reef. But we are currently looking for suggestions for the swimming inhabitants. The only requirement being any suggestions must be reef safe. There will be no angel fish in this tank. Being only 100 gallons, probably only species that range on the smaller side. The tank does have a sand bed around 1-1.5 inches in depth.
Thanks for any response and I look forward to compiling a list of suggestions! 20170607_111311.jpg 20170607_111340.jpg 20170607_111408.jpg

Congrats for the new tank, there are some beautiful fish that can be housed in 100 gallons and reef safe.
you can add a dawrf angel like flame angel.
I recommend that you add Hoeven's Wrasse (Halichoeres melanurus) it is one of the best fish for pest control.
Other choices includes : Fairy Wrasse, Flasher Wrasse, a pair of clowns , Anthias , Cardinalfish, Dartfish, Goby , and some smaller tangs like yellow tang
