i aded fish yesterday and the ph was @ 8.0 the next day it went up to 8.8 help

What are your water parameters? Did you do your test around the same time of day.

Turn your lights off and it should drop some.

Adding fish should not cause your ph to go up that much. Did you add anything else such as buffers?

How are you measuring pH? I suspect either your kit, methods or probe.


Have a fellow reefer (with some other method) test your pH or have your LFS test it.
