Hi,

So I was given the advice to add Melafix to the tank to help with a fish with some injury. I read the bottle and it said it was coral safe and can be used to dip as well. So I figured, I could just add it to the tank and don't have to worry about it.

Now all my corals (which are primarily soft corals) are freaking out, and closing up.

Does anybody have any experience with soft corals and Melafix? Should I be doing a water change and adding carbon?

How long did it take for corals to get back to normal? I’m thinking about using melafix but I’m nervous lol

Up front until fully disbursed, this will happen. In the future dose ay 80% of recommended
Glad to hear

Got melafix for my clown today and starting flipping out just like you, corals all closing up. Very glad I found this post my anxiety was skyrocketing

Softies in particular close up right away when anything new is added to the water. Melafix is pretty mild. Glad to hear all is well!
