I have never heard of that product. Got any pictures of the fish?

I have used metro in a reef but I wouldn't do it again. I can't say that it killed anything but the corals weren't too happy. I was treating a tang with ich by loading his food with it.

You have to be careful with the loading of food treatments... how do you know how much you're really "dosing" to the animal? How much is actually absorbed into the food(s)? It's all anecdotal...

The beauty of SW fish is that they're constantly drinking water, so they're ingesting the meds, just make sure to "dose" the appropriate amount to the water.

Correct, stun. I was adding it to the food in hopes that he would eat some but there is no way to be sure how much he took in. All I added to it was the desired dose, no more and no less. As stated, though, I wouldn't take that route again. I should have caught him in a trap and injected him instead of dosing to the whole tank. It was a terrible case of ich and I was doing anything I could to keep him alive. Unfortunately he didn't make it.

nah, I never thought you were picking on me. It never hurts anyone to share info or personal experiences in this hobby!

I would use it as a bath, as stated here: Metranidazole I've never treated in tank (only bath), nor would recommend it, but I would definitely not suggest to use it in a reef.

Ack, hate to see it on these guys although all too common...

Couple questions to help down the line:

-How big is he?
-What size tank?
-How long have you had him?
-What is it's diet?
