Hi all,

Tank:Rsm250
New addition: Sump
New addition: Ehiem 1250 return pump
Problem: Micro bubbles ( small consistent amount)

Troubleshooting:
Confirmed not the protein skimmer
Confirmed coming from return pump
Confirmed no bubbles in sump
Tried multiple re- directions of pvc to make less of a splash when water comes in tank.
Confirmed no leaks in plumbing, pump is in water.

I read that new setups can have microbubbles, is there a Breakin period for new PVC to have microbubbles.?

Could it be the shutoff valve causing the issue.

Microbubbles are tiny looks like dust.

Do I need a new pump? The pump threads were 3/8 which was a pain. Had to find a brass threaded feeding to reduce to 1 in.
initially had plastic tubing but hard plumbed it to see if that would fix it which it did not.

Remove the brass fitting ASAP!!! You do not want anything metal in your water! Brass will leach copper and wipe out your tank.

Good pics thanks for them up front maybe a pic the returns also? ponder.png

@Hitman is correct the brass has to go soon !

That is the picture of the return??'

Update: I guess it's not the Sump return pump causing the issue. My other ones are that are apart of the RSM. Not sure what has changed besides removed the filter sponge. Will have to test some things and get back to you. Thank yall!!
