Help! Missing snowflake eel

I also had a big thick snowflake eel that got out through an unbelievably small opening. I found it several days later when I tossed the bathroom rug on a landing to take outside and shake. The crispy eel was stuck to the bottom of the rug and popped off when the rug hit the floor. It's such a bummer the way these guys can squeeze through such tiny openings...

What do you have in your sump? I've seen eels escape down the overflow then get caught in the protein skimmer...

Sadly it has now been 3 days. I do not believe the eel has made it. He was only the size of a pencil when a got him in 2014. I am thankful of being part of a great and supporting forum.
