HELP MONTI is dying

Hello fellow reefers im new to the hobby and had my tank running about 6 months just got a monti about 2 weeks ago and its dying out what can it be

What type of Monti is it? Monti cap? Tank params? Many Montis are pretty easy as far as SPS go, so I suspect something is amiss in your water chemistry.

Stay calm and break off the pieces changing colors, you're monti should be fine afterwards. It's hard to break up a coral like that but it's better than loosing it all.

Could my hammer or torch be causing this

break off the white pieces and make sure your calcium is consistent and high.. they suck it up like you couldnt believe

I don't dose, I use reef crystals changing ten gallons a week and get incredible growth out of my montis

Maybe 2 part dosing vs using a kalkwasser solution

what kind of lighting is it under? might need to be higher up in more light.

Ya its still Browning out I checked all my params and all is good and in range ..im thinking light so I moved it towards the top of the tank still dying broke off the peice that was dying and still going
