Ok so my rainbow bubble tip has been closed for weeks now and every now and then he barely opens his mouth. The tentacles have been looking a little small. At first I thought it was my water but everything was normal. Then I found a bunch of tube snails (the ones that cast nets and disturb coral) on my main rock. I pulled it out and crushed them all and made sure to get them all off. I got it ~1 1/2 months ago and when I introduced it it was doing fine. It’s been one week since I took out all the tube snails and the last time I did a water change was Thursday. I have 1 nissarius snail, 1 Halloween hermit, 2 blue hermits, 1 tuxedo urchin, 2 clowns, 1 court jester goby, and 1 6-line wrasse, all the coral I currently have are doing great. I have a 20 gallon system and it’s been up for ~3 1/2 months (I didn’t know that I had to wait 6 months when I got him). I haven’t had any big swings and it hasn’t lost color. Please help q-q

Are your clowns trying to party in your anemone?

No, they haven’t really decided on a spot. They’ll move every week or so but recently they have been in the general area of the nem at night but it can’t be the problem since this has been going on for weeks and the clowns just started sleeping there

Parameters ? Lighting ?
Have your parameters been stable ?

Like I’ve said my parameters have been stable. Before my water change on Thursday my calcium was at 400 and my phosphate was at .5 but I did a 25% water change and none of my corals have been bothered. I run an ai prime hd+ With the lunar cycle on and 1% moon light from 1:30 am to 3:30 am

Mine have been like that for months. No idea what is going on, recent po4 issue, but they started doing this way before then. Prior to their change they were happy and huge for over a year.

They require . . . Moderate light and water flow. Too blue not good enough
ph range 8.1-8.3. . Temp range 77-79 . . . . salinity range 1.024-1.026 and lower part of tank

Yeah I have that and for light and flow can’t he just move around?

Do you know any other parameters ?

I need to get them tested but my nitrate is at 5 and that’s all I know. But what’s weird to me is that all my coral are doing fine (I have softies, lps, and some easy sps). Is it possible that it’s an infection?

I had a swing. And mine closed the same way. I’d assume stress my bubble tip is closed but my lta is happy and healthy even after meeting the wavemaker really up close and personally. My alk dropped from 11 to 8 in about an hour and a half with no other explanation. After a ten percent water change my alk came right back to ten and my ph returned back the 8.2
Sorry for the blues he was actually completely closed while I was typing this and started to open when I turned my whites off. Second picture is my other nem that is not 8 inches from it
Ps nem was sucked up around 9pm last night and within the hour had opened up and started roaming around again.
So if I had to say. Your params swung and you had corrected it before you noticed causing the stress on the baby
