Help my butterfly

Hi, I just noticed this weird bump on my Tinkeri butterfly, It was not there yesterday, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow. Looks like a rectal prolapse. seen him poop lately?

Defianately looks like a prolapse. May be bacterial infection or parasite related. You may want to pull him out and quarantine/treat him. I've seen this before and depending on tank mates they may start to disembowel him. Also if parasites are present they could spread to the other fish. Best of luck.

I would food soak and/or dose Kanaplex. In addition to treating for an internal infection, it might also induce diarrhea. I agree it's likely a prolapse. More info: https://en.wikivet.net/Vent_Prolapse_-_Fish

Poor fish, you've got good advice thus far, I hope the fish pulls through but it doesn't look very promising

Maybe some epsom salt to help take down that swelling some...

Sorry for lack of response, but good news, fish is healthy, eating great. It just went away on its own two days later. Next day after I post it it got smaller, so I decided to wait, two days later it was back to normal. So far so good since then. Thank you for all your help.

Thats great to hear! but like others said keep a close eye on the others... since it could be parasite it could spread! glad to hear it got better!!!
