Hello I have 3 clown fish witch I bought from a breeder at same time but the last week or so one of the 2 bigger clown have started to attact the smaller one and now the smaller one is hidden away in rocks or swimming at top of filter. There is sings of wear on the fins from attacks but when I feed they swim together what do I do? Has the 2 bigger clowns paired as they get on and don't fight? in fact the other bigger one looks as if it's trying to stop the other one from atacking the wee one ? ? ? Please help as I don't want to lose the wee one or any

I think this might be a case of "three's a crowd". @4FordFamily might be able to shed some light as well.

3 clowns is a recipe for disaster. Even when trying to pair two often the smaller one can be killed. You might be better off trying to remove one of the larger clowns. Perhaps the one that is more aggressive.

Unless the small one is too far gone which it sounds like it may be.

What size tank? How long has the tank been set up?
