HELP!!! My corals are dying.

Guys I need help bad. I’ve been gone for the past 4 days and appreciate I had a power outage. This for some reason set my light to “sunny” which for some other reason is 100% Whites and 100% other colors. My coral looks horrific. Please help!!

I have set it back to the “custom” mode which is where it should have been all along. Not sure what else to do.

If whites were at 100%, that could certainly bother a coral.

Could you post some water parameters? It’s also possible that there is some imbalance, especially if it’s affecting all the corals. Seeing that you’ve been away, something could have happened during that time.

Yes, I will test everything but it’ll take time to show the results.

Over exposure, time to let them rest. Lights on 5 hours a day or 75% of what you have been using.

I agree with testing everything and lowering lights for a week or so. May help with the algae as well.

Calcium is on its way. I screwed up the test just now so I’m going to do it again.

Honestly 2 huge issues and I never suffered both at once.
I would make some fresh saltwater, pull out the algae rock and really get that shaken out and scrubbed. I had to rip clean twice because dry rock got covered in gha. Live rock stayed fine.

Algae has nitrate on lock down and is now out competing coral for food.

Take it to 1.028 they are going through a lot.

I would consider tossing a glove on and hand removing a bunch of that hair algae. As well as lowering the intensity of the lights for a few days to give the coral a break.
