Hello, My newly acquired flasher wrasse is laying on the bottom of the tank and breathing heavy. I have had her for just 6 days now, and i have been using the ttm method she was transferred the second time last night. I've done my best to make sure that salinity and temp were the same before every transfer. I've read this is normal for flashers but while she laid on the bottom before her breatjing was never as heavy. She was eating well up until yesterday.
Is there anything i can do? I have a third tank setup which was intended to be a holding tank for her once the ttm was finished. Im worried the ttm is to stressful. Should i move her to the 3 third tank, and hold off on the ttm until shes healthier?
She seems to be going downhill fast, she went from the one pic to the otger in the time i typed this

I’m not sure there is a lot you can do right now.
Did you do TTM as a percaution?
I would certainly let her rest. Turn the lights out and let her be for a few hours would be my suggestion if there is no sign of sickness.

How soon did you start TTM? I usually let my fish stay in the same tank for at least a week for observation when I first get them to help with the stress. I just moved my first successful flasher to my main tank yesterday. He was my 3rd one and the first to make it through QT. He even ended up with velvet. So it was a LONG QT.

Thanks, unfortunately i started her off right in to the ttm as a precautionary measure. I think i messed up, from now on im going to hold them first. This is my first wrasse and the ttm method came highly recommended.
I feel absolutely terrible knowing i probably caused this, i just hope i can figure out where i went wrong

You are fine! Just take it slow. Anything with fish. Don’t panic and take it slow. TTM and copper both have their plus and minus!

I would highly recommend doing 1-2 weeks of observation. If you don’t see anything alarming, do a dose of prazi pro. After that if all looks good - THEN do copper (very very slowly raised levels) or TTM. This gives them time to settle and get them really eating before the stress.

Keep us updated!

Thank you, i will.
She seems to be doing a little better already, she is at least laying on her stomach like in the first pic and her color seems to be returning, its hard to tell with the lights out though and i don't want to disturb her.
And most assuredly this is the last time i put a newly aquired fish directly into ttm, I guess i was thinking holding tank to ttm would be more stressful than the other way around.
And i know not to panic but its hard when you see something going downhill so fast.
Thanks again for your help

Trust me. I know. Been there many times. I just lost 2 blue star leopard wrasses last week. It sucks.
