My frogspawn broke apparently I'm not really sure how but now idk if or how to frag it so I have 2 of them cuz it's either that or it tears off on its own. I attached a few pictures to show so u can see how it is. There is a very very small piece of the hard skeleton on the bottom of the piece.

I could not make out anything from your very blue photos. Frim you description, it sounds like a piece of the skeleton broke. If that is the case, it should be no big deal and with a little time you will probably have 2 corals.

Yes a piece of the skeleton broke and I tried to show in the pictures that just a piece of tissue is holding the other piece of frog spawn on it

Can u see better in this pic I

Tried to adjust it on the left hand side of the picture there is one sliver of tissue going down the side of the coral that's the only thing holding on that other part of coral that broke off

It doesn’t look like there’s much of the skeleton on the piece that broke off. If you have some gel super glue you can try putting a few drops on the exposed portion of the broken skeleton and stick it back on to the plug. There’s a 50/50 chance it will survive and be fine. As it is right now it will probably let loose from the tissue it’s holding onto in a short time anyway.

Have u ever fragged? Can u tell me the steps plz if u have? I want to try to frag it so I have 2 coral instead of 1.

So you’ll have to get everything ready and then just lift the plug out of your tank. With paper towel blot dry the spot on the plug you want to stick the broken piece back onto, put the couple drops of glue on the broken skeleton and stick it to the plug. The gel super glue will cure underwater so work as quick as you can to get it back in your tank. The frogspawn is gonna get upset for a minute but a little exposure to air shouldn’t hurt it a bit. Sorry I just thought maybe you want to stick it to a different plug or rubble rock. The piece of tissue it’s holding on with can just be clipped with scissors.

I will get that piece out and dry the hard part and put Cyanoacrylate gel and glue it to the mother piece or to a rock

I haven't been able to do it yet. I just can't convince myself to cut it off and hurt it. I know I'm a big baby lol!
Not a big baby. Lol. Having never fragged anything it does take a bit of confidence in what you’re doing. After you’ve done it you’ll see there’s really nothing to it.

Thanks I'm just afraid of cutting the flesh cuz I will have to to frag it :(

Ya you can wait and watch until it lets loose itself then stick it to something. I’m not sure how big your tank is and what your rock structures are like but the issue with this approach is the broken piece could get lost in your reef. Do whatever you’re most comfortable with and keep us updated on the outcome.

I will keep y'all updated!

Hey everyone here's an update for my frogspawn coral! Well it came off on its own b4 I could get up the nerve to cut it myself so I quickly grabbed it and put it on a plug. It didn't look too good the first couple of days. We took and used our reef energy plus coral nutrition AB+ and it started to perk right up in about a couple of hours so idk if that's because we used the reef energy plus coral nutrition AB+ or if it just finally started to get better but whatever the case I'm glad it didn't die on me! So I guess I got 2 for the price I paid for the frogspawn! Thanks to everyone for your advice!! I attached a picture of both of them and each of them by themselves so u can see for your self hopefully you can see them sorry for the blue to them lol!
