My frogspawn started not looking great over the past week or so. But now it's partially brown and slimy? Is it too far gone to save?

Sounds like brown jelly. Search for that and see if it lines up with what you have

It sounds like something similar that happened to mine. Check an old post of mine to see if it looks the same.

turned out to be a flow issue, was getting hit too directly. solved it by moving the power head to a different spot

Can you post pics of coral under white lighting ?

Ouch- polyp bailout but I can also say wall hammer is some of the most challenging and with the heavy skeleton mass requires stable calcium of at least 400

I tested it yesterday and the calcium was 450, is there anything else that it could be?

Could apstasia x have hurt it? I used it a couple weeks ago and I suppose some could have gotten into the frogspawn since the apstasia was above it

Looking at safety data sheet of Aiptasia X, it is a mixture of Calcium chloride and Sodium hydroxide AKA lye or caustic soda. Lye coagulates proteins and it may cause serious burns when ingested or when it touches skin or mucosa.
If it spilled onto your Frogspawn it could definitely damage it.

What should I do then?

Remove the coral and smell it (seriously). If it makes you gag, it's definitely brown jelly, and since it's a wall variety, you can't really frag off the infected part... So it's probably a goner unfortunately.

I smelled it and it doesn't smell bad. It just smells like aquarium lol

That's a good thing but doesn't rule out BJD. If you can remove the coral to a container of tank water, shake or blow off as much of the gunk as you can, and then put into another container of water. Add a couple drops of iodine until the water is the color of tea, and let it sit 10-15 minutes before putting it back in the tank.
Cipro would be best, but iodine might stop any healthy tissue from becoming infected.

If it was the apstasia x, will it just stop spreading on its own?

No. Once a wall variety of fimbriaphyllia becomes infected, usually the entire piece dies. You've basically got one large single head of frogspawn, as opposed to several separate heads on a branching colony...

There's some good info in the link above... Bottom line, frogspawn, hammers, torches, etc can be tricky, and wall varieties are often VERY hard to keep alive more than 4-6 months. You probably didn't do anything wrong (except maybe the aiptasia-x) and are just having a bit of bad luck.
