Well I'm at a loss. My tank parameters are good, there's enough light but not too much, not too much flow on the coral, but the polyps just don't extend. At least they never do when I am home. The colors are still vibrant and healthy looking. I am at loss. Anyone know what could be the problem?:help:

this is usually the case when there is too much flow over the coral... it is also possible the coral has too much to eat, corals open wider when they are feeding but will sometimes remain closed or tight because they don't need food

That's the crazy thing is I'm almost certain flow isn't the issue. The food hypothesis could be it. Though it sucks I virtually never see the polyps extended. Thanks for the help.

Where in your tank do you have it placed? We have ours in the middle with medium flow, it seems to be doing great there :)

I have mine in the middle of the tank as well. Its in a low to medium indirect flow. I even moved a rock to shield it from the nearby powerhead. I've tried all over the tank. It liked the bottom at first but then it stopped extending polyps. I just moved it yesterday and I haven't been home to watch it so I'll have to watch it one day when I'm home to see if it opens during the day when I'm gone.
