Help! My hermit crab has a red thing attached to it's back!

It was walking around with no shell in my saltwater tank and had a red embryo looking thing attached to it. So I slipped it in a new shell.

Probably it’s abdomen (non scientific term). They are pretty funky looking outside of their shells.
