i just got a two eye frag of jason fox crazy fox less than a week ago. it was sent to my cousins house since i am not home during the day to recieve shipment.. It stayed in his tank for two days and has been in my tank for 3 days now. upon arrival, it had a small white spot that looked like a new eye forming, but now the white area has grown. i dont see any skeleton yet and all my other chalices seem fine. i have some new ecoxotic panarama pro leds which are @ 40%(any brighter and it was making my corals mad). the crazy fox is in the shade and i was going to slowly start moving him out, but with this white area growng i dont know what i should do. also my parameters are in range and normal for my tank. any and all advice is appreciated. This is my dream piece and would hate to lose it, not to mention it is quite expensive.

Do you have a pic? Did you dip it before pouting it in. the tank? How did you acclimate? Pics would help

I have my crazy fox under pretty bright lighting and it doesn't mind bright lighting. your's is shaded and I think youre light acclimating properly by moving it out from the shade slowly.
if it looks bleached, just keep it in low light and feed it often.

Need a pic to determine if its bleaching or receding. From there we can determine proper course of action...

my phone takes TERRIBLE in tank pics. i did notice that where i put him and thought it was shaded, was actually getting hit pretty hard with light. from straight down it looked shaded but the other fixture had a straight shot. i made him a cave to sit in-how long should i shade him now that i am pretty sure he is just ticked off from the light?

It's probably been stressed and shocked from the different tank transfers and lighting changes. I'd keep it partially shaded until it gets comfortable in your system and used to your lights. Feeding it directly will also help it get better.

put it back in my tank where it was happy.

keep dreaming....

Zack, he may have the answer. I placed two chalice frags in my wife's JBJ LED tank, the next day one chalice was puffed and happy but the other had started to RTN. I placed the RTN'n chalice back in my frag tank and it has since returned to it's former glory.

Rob, if my cf starts to RTN anymore than i am definitley willing to try anything to save this wonderful piece of coral. But this receding white spot was there in justin's tank too. it has just grown a little bit since. the last two days it hasnt changed, so im hoping im in the clear....

but, my order from joes will stay in justins tank longer to reduce stress, atleaast a week.....
