I got my LTA 2 days ago. During the day I set him in the middle of a rock off the ground with medium flow. Then when I got home from work my LTA was on the bottom of the sand bed moving around with the current. The LTA is barley moving. But his Tenticals are out and his coloration looks good. It’s been almost 24 hours he has been like this. I tried making a hole in the sand and place the LTA between two rocks but he ended up moving. I have a 30 gallon tank with a pistol shrimp, yellow goby, and 1 clownfish. Please help me

I got My LTA two days ago. I placed him in a rock in a high place with medium flow his tentacles were out and he looked happy. But when he was there it looked like his foot was not attached. The next day when i came back from work he was on the sand bed moving with the current. He has been doing this for 1 day strait and his foot is not damaged. It’s like he is laying on his side letting the current move him. I even tried placing him between two rocks in the sand bed but he ended up moving. I am really worried about him. When he is floating around in the sand bed his tentacles are out only a little. I have a 30 gallon tank.

Dig a hole in the sand under a flat rock place him in there backfill with sand and place some rocks around him.

Something that might help is turning off all the flow in your tank (return, powerhead , etc). Unless the Anemone is very still, it will be very hard for it to attach to anything. If the Anemone is healthy, it should attach in just a few min.

Another option would be to put the nem in a basket or separator box to let it attach and give it some time to recover.

You need to do at least a bare minimum amt of research before purchasing live animals. LTA's are not rock dwellers, they live on the sand and you need a few inches of sand bed.

Go buy a small pvc pipe, open on both ends. Dig it into the sand down to the glass. Remove all sand from middle so you have bare glass. Place nem inside and let it attach. Slowly remove pvc and let the sand surround its foot.

If he’s attached, which others have said, in the sand, leave him alone and never touch him again.
