What next. my sebae anemone got caught up in my tunze 6020 powerhead. I did a 5g water change after removing my nem. I have a Black Ice Clown, a goldenhead goby and a twin spot goby in my wife's 12g. not sure if my nem will make it or should I just toss the remains out. heres a pic
I would run carbon in your tank for two weeks straight and test water for the next week, everyday (may need longer testing and water changes if needed)!! If the nem is torn alittle I wouldn't throw it out as this has happened to me and mine healed and was fine but he ended up splitting due to stress!! If you do decide to keep it make sure to keep an eye on it and be sure to take it out if it starts to "Melt" away!!
Give him time. Mine got half its body chopped up and sucked into a filter intake. Then the next week cheese-grated itself through panty hose and lived fine.
Give it time.. dont touch it.. itll pull itself out
you had a sebae and a powerhead in a 12g tank? wow... i would advise checking into a larger tank or finding a new home for the sebae. imo, that is asking for problems. i have a couple sebae and they are each about 12" in diameter and growing.
i agree with not throwing it out. wc, test params, and monitor.
It did make it and growing strong what I did was due to back to back 10 gallon water changes in 12 hours I put in them with the parkade in my main 125 pink some overnight
First remove and dispose the anemone, it's not worth keeping. Do a water change every few days, a little at a time untill you change out most of the water. But first do a 25% change.
nem is doing just fine after almost 6mos. i've added a melanarus wrass, a golden head goby a scooter blenny and a green mandrin, also a coule of emerald crabs that do a heck of a job keeping tank clean. i just purchased a sr aquaristick led light that is working wonder at growing the few zoa's that I have placed in her tank. everyone gets along just fine.
