So a little back ground. Last week I added 2 cheap Torch’s and they looked great for a few days and then I added my first 2 QT’d fish and one of the fish didn’t look good once in the DT and wouldn’t eat after a few days. I was told by my LFS that it was possibly stung because it had a scar on its head. The fish got under my rock work and I had to remove stuff to bring it out. I didn’t want it to die under there so I took it out and put back in the QT tank. Well I stirred up the tank pretty bad and I’m having a diotom bloom. The next day I woke up and the water was murky. I tested and everything seemed normal to the tank. The next day the water was still murky so I did a water change. Today it’s looking better but a few of my corals like my zoas, gsp, and torch’s are not fully out and the torch’s look pretty retracted.
my water has cleared up today.
Parameters are
Salinity 1.024
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 10
Phosphate .08
PH 8
Alk 8.9
Cal 377
Mag 1320
I’m running my xr15s at 40% on LPS setting for 10 hours. Maybe I’m frying them. They’re on the sand bed.

The torches may been irritated a little with the disturbance in the tank. It may take several days for them to come back out. Thought the tank may have cleared up, the tank may take a few days for it to actually settle.

Probably started a brief bacterial bloom with the disturbance and kicked up small particulates into the water column. I’d run some extra carbon to remove any unwanted stuff in the water.

Torches need more time to acclimate and get used to new environments, so I’d let the tank stabilize and keep it in low to medium light and lower flow.

Parameter wise, salinity and calcium look low. Try to bring closer towards natural sea water at 1.0264 sg and 400 calcium
