Help my torch coral has separated from its skelaton

My green torch coral has separated from it skelaton ( I guess that's what it is) should I do something or leave it. It is now sitting on a piece of live rock.

Was it being covered from the light?

It's been in the same spot forever, on the sand bed, light flow and minimum light, always open and seemed very happy.

Best I can say is leave it where its at and see what happens. Please keep us updated as to the status. Alot of the time we hear about this but are never updated. Supposedly it can start growing a new skeleton but have never heard about it from any one.

Possible polyp bailout where something has irritated it or a parameter swing to the point of looking for a new home. Upon my quick research I've seen it is possible for it to develop a new skeleton if becomes satisfied, but not the most likely of chances. I would move it to a nice quiet spot where cuc can't bother it, possibly a breeder box or something of the like and keep an eye on it. Hope someone comes with a more solid solution for you though. Best wishes on it.

Thank you all, it seems very happy right now, I will keep an eye on it as I absolutely love it. It is in a quiet place actually same place just without its skeleton .

Lol wow it looks awesome! This could be one (or both) of 2 things, reproduction or not happy. Looks happy, maybe blasting it with 2 much flow?

No it was just enough flow that it got a little movement but not too much

I have a frog spawn Coral with two heads one of them did the exact same thing I didn't keep track of it though like they said maybe the water parameters were bad but I did have a sexy dancing shrimp that was constantly touching it and keeping it closed the head on the other one is totally fine but the shrimp isn't touching it very interested in your update

I don't think it was just about the slime, rather the difficulties he had keeping the head in place.
