I have some 2 head Aussie black torch. One head is bleaching and the other one isn't although it's not as puffy as it was when I first got it. The tentacles is thin and white. 2 other heads of green torch is barely opened as well. I think they might have been exposed to too much lights so I have cut down the hours as well as intensity.

What else can I do? Will it come back? TIA

Tank: WaterBox AIO 20
Light: AI Prime HD (AB+)
Placement: near center, 22" below

Do you have pictures of the torches? How old are the torches, the tank, and have you changed the lights recently (intensity, placement, etc.)?

In my experience torches can take a lot of light I have mine on the top of the rock work with the acros. What’s your no3 and po4 levels?

+1 as above

How long ago did you get it?

Any big po4 swing will sometimes cause this.

The torches have been in the tank for about 2 months now. Been running AB+ on the light all this time. I only lower the intensities and stuff recently because I think they were getting too much lights. They were off to the side a bit and not directly under the light. I did move them around a bit but the base of the tank is not that big so it's not much movement.

No3 is between 10 & 20. I don't have PO4 test kit. Will be ordering that. I broadcast feed with Redsea AB+ twice a week but thinking about cutting that back now.

2 months exactly. So I lowered the lights this morning and also put a small layer of plastic as a poor man's diffuser to reduce the lights and both torches are retracting/drooping. Should I crank the lights back up?

I would see if your P04 are swinging a bit. And make sure it get good flow . I keep mine on the sides a bit not under direct light but next to a power head and they love life. I have two hydra 52HD on ab+ reduced whites %30

I honestly would worry more about po4 than lights. The schedule you have will not burn any corals ;)
