I’ve had this torch coral for about 2 weeks and the base of one of its heads appears to be disintegrating. Does anyone know what this is and if I can do anything about it?

I would try moving this to the coral section of the forums. You’ll get a better response there :)

How’s the lighting / flow for the torch? Have you been feeding it at all? Any possible organisms in your tank that would pick at fleshy corals?

Thanks for that tip-I’ll find that area. I’m a novice here. And yes, I’ve been feeding zooplankton and Reef Builder along with frozen mysis/brine shrimps. I only have an emerald crab and a couple porcelains. Neither of which I think would bother it. the affected area is definitely getting bigger. Thanks

Looks like it has a infection dip it ASAP. Ive had good luck with peroxide. Ill pit it in a 50-50 solution and let it sit for about 30 seconds. After that I dip it in another container with just tank water to clean off the slime and bubbles
