hi,did you dip them? check for zoa eating nudi's

water parameters.
sal 35
ph 8.4
calc 450
mag 1600
alk 9.5
phos and nitrates are both really low but not zero

150 display thats 4 months old, stocked 30g fuge with tigger pods and acro pods

cuc includes thochas, cleaner shrimp, emerald crabs, and cleaner wrasse.. i have no issues with algae

I dose Redsea AB+ daily (20ml) and PolypLab Reef Roids twice a week. food includes TDO chroma and LFS, and Rods..

I use an RO/DI and Reef crystals, 20% change every 2-3 weeks.

I have a protein skimmer and a run carbon, protein skimmer hardly needs to be emptied..

Fish: Powder Blue, Tomini, Sailfin tang, 2 clowns, 3 pajama, 1 bangai, 2 chromis, 1 assessor, 1 gramma...

I have seachem reef dip at home and could get something else tomorrow if needed.

What are your parameters? And how long were they in the tank before they closed up? And do any other corals seem to be irritated?

paramaters above

all zoas are 1-3 months old. everything else is doing great.. I did lose a nem not long ago which may or may not be related.. I pulled him out when he wasnt doing well and he died in quarantine.

i have had a few Temp swings lately since its been hot here. 80-84 in a single day has happened a few times over the last month.

Although a bit high, I think the best thing to do is to try and keep the temps stabilized rather than fluctuating. I've found that zoas are finicky (at least mine are) to parameter swings.

i normally am between 79-80 degrees. Its been hot here lately and we dont have AC, so im at the mercy of a box fan while its 93 outside.

Thats a really temporary problem.

I guess my real question is "should i dip them" or should i watch and see.

i would dip and check for nudi's better safe than sorry

one thing i will add is that these 2 corals were right next to each other on a rock and the others were pretty far away.

The bowsers (last pic) seemed to close first and the the other frag seemed to go from left to right closing a little more every day.

i am going to tag you into one from last night

I have a 6 line in quarantine. I’m half tempted to let him out early and see if he can pick up any critters.

don't do it;)wait it out:)

Any chance you could have hydroids? They have wreaked havoc on my zoa colonies. My tank is predominantly SPS and nothing else seems bothered. I’ve been trying like hell to find a solution to them, but there doesn’t seem to be any concrete answer for something that will work long term. Everything has a drawback.

I’ve seen peppermint shrimp, Halloween hermits, matted filefish, a species of nudibranch that doesn’t even appear to be sold anywhere, sea hares, coral banded shrimp, and fenbendazole listed. Search for digitate, branching, and colonial hydroids and be on the lookout. I am someone who dips everything that goes into his system with expel and reef primer, then inspect each piece using a jewelry loupe, and I still wound up with them...
