Walked into my local PetSmart today and they're selling a Marineland 75g tank with stand, glass lid, and a light for $300. My spouse offered to get it for me for my birthday but it's the display model so once it's sold it's gone. This means I have to make a decision quicker than I'd like!

I'm currently running a 28g bowfront which I could use to set up a sump (current setup doesn't have a sump). So this would be an amazing upgrade. Does anyone have experience with this brand? Is this a good deal or should I wait?

I know I want tangs eventually but I haven't done a lot of research on them yet because they aren't right for my current setup. Is 75g still too small for tangs? Any advice would be extremely appreciated!

I did last year. Tank and stand for $299. It has held water. A 75 is not big enough to be tang wonderland. It does make a nice tank.
I upgraded from a 56 gallon column tank.

If it is what you want then get it..if you're unsure then sleep on it...haste makes waste in reefing.

Awesome, thanks for the advice and the pics! I decided to go ahead and do it. Might not be able to add tangs but I know I can add the dwarf lionfish I've always wanted. Best birthday ever!
