Hi guys... i have salt water tank for more than six months, which was doing great until the day i added more live rocks.
Well after that moment tank has crashed so bad and its resist to recover. I have done lots of water change and now all prameters are good. Where fish seems to do good, but i added few corals which never opened and died off.
Now i am not sure wats wrong and where. Please advice me this issue. I really need my tank back...

Where did the rock come from? What are the exact parameters? Is it just coral or are you having trouble keeping other inverts alive?

Hi naiad.. rocks came straight from sea.. with 2days in transit. Its was not cured. Yes i do have trouble with inverts also. Had two hermit and well both died off... ammoia 0.25ppm nitrite and nitrate shows 0ppm in API test kit

The uncured rock most likely is curing. You want ammonia to be 0 before adding anything new. Fish are able to handle spikes better than other inhabitants. So if you can keep up the water changes they will most likely survive. How long has the new rock been in the tank?

Oh right may be. Its almost 2 months by now. I still have very light milky white water. Would it be because of ammonia?

Did you dry the rock b4 you put it in your tank. If it was wright out of the ocean to your tank it may have some bad thing you may not want in your tank later.

Actually it was wrapped in a news paper when reached me. I am not sure y the suppliers do so but it said it will keep them moistured. I also removed most of the dead things before i put in my tank..

I too think so einna.. but it really upsets me each time i walk around my tank... :-(

I'm sure it does... :( I've had a few crashes myself and they are heartbreaking.
Next time cure any new rock in a separate vat or aquarium.
