I have a yellow tang, purple tang, blonde naso tang, reagle tang and two clownfish in copper at half dose for 4+ weeks now I am wanting to do as much as I can for the fish so they can thrive when I put them back in my main display tank I could do with a bit of help on picking products to treat for flukes worms and so on I live in the UK so some products are harder to get or listed as something else I had velvet wipe my fish out a couple of month ago from been stupid I added a coral frag without putting it in qt 3 years of doing things the right way and adding one frag got me never again will I chance it if some one can give me some advice it would be appreciated

Depending on the type of copper you used, half dose isn't going to be therapeutic enough to ensure the eradication of the ich/velvet. It needs to be at around 2.0ppm (for chelated copper products) for at least 14 days.

Praziquantel is typically used for flukes, etc... Prazi-Pro is a brand of this. Also General Cure as Praziquantel as well as Metrodonizole for flukes and worms.

As @Idoc said, anything lower than full dose of copper is ineffective - you need to run the tight line between toxicity to the parasite and toxicity to the fish, that's just the way it is. Which copper product are you using? I've heard from some UK members using a copper/citric acid product. That is very tricky to dose properly. You would be better off with one of the organically bound coppers such as Coppersafe, Copper Power or even Cupramine.

I used seachem cupramine at half dose
Would i be ok to use Praziquantel and metroplex to get the fish in the best health possible and then treat them all again with cupramine at 2.0 ppm a few week after that before I put them back in my main display i have about 1 and a half month left on tank fallow before I can put them back into it would I be better off using general cure as well

Cupramine is a different type of copper than CopperSafe, etc...Cupramine's therapeutic range is only around 0.5ppm -- therefore, 2ppm with Cupramine type of copper would be way overdosing! I prefer CopperSafe (chelated) types of copper, personally. But, you may be limited in your area.

General Cure is Praziquental and Metrodonizole in one medication. You can also use each of these medications separtately. PraziPro is praziquental (liquid form)...this medication, after your first dose in the water column, you wait about 6 days later, perform a 25% water change, then dose it a second time...again a 25% water change after a couple of days. Metrodonizole given separately is typically dosed every 48hrs for 10-14 days. You want good oxygenation in the water during antibiotic treatments...point a powerhead toward the surface or add an airstone during treatments.

I'm thinking about removing the cupramine from the qt and treating with general cure seen as it has prazi and metro in it then a few weeks I will give cupramine another go I already have an air stone and power head working away in it or would you suggest using metro and prazi separate as liquid for to be more precise and effective at getting the job done
