Thanks for any help. The actual color is more of a brownish red.

Looks like Aptasia to me. If so you would want to get rid of them as they will spread and can sting corals and even fish. I use Aptasia X but others like Franks as remedies.

Like uninvited company. Better kick them out before the family show up.
 
+1 aptasia. No panic - take a syringe and mix Kalk powder with water to a past and inject into core and watch it melt. Lemon juice will do the same

Aptasia X is good but do you realize it is literally KALK paste diluted? We use Kalk already which is why I suggested it - Cost Effective
