Ok so iv recently started my salt water aqarium have added live rock and have cycled the tank. iv now added clown fish and damsels 3 clowns and 2 damsels. I then let it be for a week and have bought a gobie and 2 butterfly fish but since i did a water change of approximetly 25% i have noticed white spots on my butterfly fish. I know i have picked something up here a disease. How do i get rid of it in a tank that is approximetly 300-400lts? Also how do i purify my water as i bought bottled water thinking it was safe to use once adding salt. How do i do a safe water change?:squigglemouth:

The white spots are likely Ich, Butterflies are Ich magnets. It sounds like you added too many fish at once and probably stressed everyone out. A water change won't help your ich problem. You will have to setup another small tank and quarantine your butterfly for a couple of weeks. Treat with copper.

Agree with above ^^. I added too many fish too fast and stressed everything out and lost half my fish. Good luck, quarantine is key..I never set one up until i lost half my livestock.
