Help needed with Red Sea Alk test kit

I’m using the alk test kit that comes with the Red Sea multi test kit. I’m struggling to work out how to get the green colour though it says is the target. Mine will go straight to yellow which says overdose.
Also do you count the drops to make it turn blue to start? And how blue? With 1 drop I can get a blue tinge.

Sometimes the change is hard to see in that test kit, it’s a known issue. Seems to vary from batch to batch.

If it jumps straight to yellow in a single drop, just use that as the value.

You should count all the drops.

Are you using the Titrator? Or, are you just using the syringe by itself? I found the Titrator gizmo to be impossible so I use the syringe and meticulously count the drops. I use the Alk test all the time and have never had a problem seeing it go to green before yellow. Something to try is when you are about 1/2 way through, put on the lid and give the bottle a good shake up and down once to ensure it is mixed thoroughly. Continue your test and see if that helps you achieve green before you hit yellow. Good luck! JL
