Help needed with Teco 500 chiller & Eheim 2400 pump

There are 2 issues here:

1) My Eheim 2400 pump refuses to suck in water via the hose pillar. It only works when I have it ín the water. Any ideas how to fix that?

2) Issue with the Chiller was that it couldn't go lower than 5C. I found the issue: simultaneously press set and power off for 3 seconds. Then you can set it to 0.1C.

Thank you! I got the pump from Amazon and tried to find the issue, but have been unable to. So in the end I decided to send it back to Amazon for a refund and I bought another pump back that is now running well.
